This talk presents data showing exceptionally high tuna/longfin eel biomass in Waituna Creek. We will then demonstrate the importance of connectivity to a healthy, productive coastal ecosystem – the Waituna Lagoon – in supporting the Creek’s tuna population through the upstream migration of īnanga.
