Fish futures is a new 5-year MBIE Endeavour research programme that looks at changing freshwater ecosystems and people’s connections to freshwater fish across Aotearoa.

This presentation introduces the research kaupapa and describes research looking at three topics of special interest to the Māori fisheries community:

• Freshwater fish interactions
• Introduced species management
• Fisheries values.
